Taney County MO - On or about June the 20st,
Summer will arrive (7:34 P.M. CDT) and we will all feel like we're already stuck in
the summer doldrums! A meandering frontal system will provide some
chances for rain to fall in a scattered fashion, but don't expect it
to be too organized...
Temperatures will also likely exist in
a rather narrow range with the days in the low nineties while the
nights will only see a drop to 70 or so. That's pretty much how the
entire work week shapes up. For some one like me, it will be one big
weather yawn...
Update: Beginning Thursday, June 23 there will be increasing chances for thunderstorms across all of southern Missouri. This pattern will continue through Sunday, at least!
Update: HEAT ADVISORY in place for Wednesday, June 22!

Today will be a hot one FOLKS.
The combination of the upper level ridge over the region, ample
sunshine, strong southerly winds and increasing dew points (humidity)
will make heat indexes climb into the 102 to 107 range. Actual
temperatures may climb into the middle to upper 90s for all but south
central Missouri. Expect near record temperatures Wednesday afternoon
for the Taney Co8unty area!
And don't expect the night time to be a
big improvement as the lows may only be somewhere in the mid 70's!
And that will be the modis operandi for the next few days on into the
weekend when the only relief will be from occasional showers.
There is a chance that things might
moderate a bit next week, but it won't feel like much. For myself, I
plan to spend time watching my electric meter spin....

Update: Relief coming? The weather
pattern for the start of July may feature almost north to south upper
level flow. This would signal a much cooler potential period with
models suggesting highs in the lower 80 to even upper 70s for the end
of next week.
